HFH’s Early Childhood Education Centers provide high-quality childcare and programming for our youngest learners, helping children build the academic, social, and emotional skills that support future success in school.
Access to early childhood education is critical for all children. Residents and families from the surrounding community can enroll in NYC Department of Education 3-K and 4-K programs for eligible children born in 2022 and 2023. Our full-day programs are overseen by certified program directors and supported by experienced early childhood education staff who create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.
Each day includes breakfast, hot lunch, and snacks, along with activities that support early literacy, hands-on learning, creativity, and active play. Programming may include music, yoga, soccer, and other enrichment activities designed to help children explore, grow, and thrive.

The Prospect Panthers recently welcomed Mr. Jay Fray of @drizzleweather for an engaging lesson on meteorology. The kids shared their favorite types of weather, learned about the layers of Earth`s atmosphere, discovered that clouds form in the troposphere, and explored different cloud types.
To bring the science to life, students created their own cloud parfaits, using graham crackers, marshmallows, whipped cream, and blue icing to represent different layers of the atmosphere. This hands-on activity helped them visualize how our atmosphere is structured and where clouds form. A sweet treat and a sweet lesson in weather science! 🌦️
