Every day we receive requests about how you can get involved to help the families we serve. We encourage you to take a look at the seasonal Wish Lists of items that supplement the services we provide. For students enrolled in our Culinary Center, that includes items that will help them while they study, look for a job, and beyond.
If you would like to organize a drive in your office, school, or community to benefit the parents enrolled in our Culinary program, and their families, please look at our Wish Lists and reach out to GetInvolved@HFHnyc.org.
For the Adult Students During Training

- Chef Pants (This can be basic black pants. No leggings.) All sizes or email for specifics

The Culinary Center at Allie’s Place recently hosted a Parent & Child Cooking Class where the Culinary Team led parents and their kids through a fun, hands-on demonstration. Together, they learned to make fresh Vietnamese Summer Rolls and decorated sugar cookies while building new kitchen skills, exploring different cuisines, and learning about healthy eating.🥕🌿
Families enjoyed the experience and were able to take their culinary creations in to-go boxes. For some, it was their first time trying Summer Rolls and tasting hoisin sauce! Parents also had the opportunity to learn more about the Culinary Center and apply.
