Knife Skills

Knife Skills is the core five-day job-training course. It provides a foundation for entry-level jobs in a variety of food industry settings such as restaurants, cafes, retail markets, healthcare, schools, catering and more.

  • Fluency with knives
  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment
  • Foundation in best sanitation practices

You will gain knife skills while making a new recipe each day. Day 5 of the training is a practical exam. Classes run from 10 am to 2 pm each day.

Each graduate will receive a professional chef’s knife kit upon completion of the course. The Culinary Team will then assist graduate with resumes and job placement. Learn more about our Allie’s Place Alumni two-year commitment of assistance.
