Allie’s Place Center for Culinary Education & Employment is an employment training and placement center designed to prepare adult students for employment in a variety of food industry settings, including commercial and institutional kitchens, restaurants, cafes, and cafeterias. Currently, the Center is enrolling students who are experiencing homelessness and reside in one of Homes for the Homeless’ four family residences.
In the future, the Center will open its trainings and employment placement services to residents of the broader Soundview community as well as residents of other shelters that serve families with children. Reach out to our Culinary Team at Culinary@HFHnyc.org to be put on a list of those interested in the program as it expands.
All trainings are free to those who qualify for services.
