Recreation

At HFH we strive to create opportunities for children in homeless and/or impoverished families to succeed by providing a variety of recreational activities as many children in homeless situations are often denied these chances. As opposed to restricting recreation, HFH goes above and beyond to provide toys, books, and a safe space to play, learn, be creative, and release energy, as children love to do. Providing a safe place for children to explore and create reduces trauma and promotes healthy development ensuring that children enjoy playtime and recreation as part of a normal childhood experience. Recreational opportunities include field trips, organized sports teams, on-site playground facilities, and more.
