HFH Staff Present at the Young Children Without Homes Conference in Boston, MA
On April 28, 2005, HFH staff presented at the Young Children Without
Homes National Conference in Boston, MA. HFH's presentation, entitled
"Building a Community of Learning for Homeless Children and the
Families," focused on HFH's American Family Inn model, highlighting the
Jump-Start Child Development Centers within the greater integrated
network of shelter-based programs. The workshop's objective was to show
how literacy-rich centers benefit young children and their parents
while simultaneously contributing to the greater Community of Learning philosophy within each American Family Inn.
