Ralph Nunez Speaks at the NYU Wagner School of Public Service
On March 22, 2005, Ralph Nunez, President and CEO of Homes for the
Homeless and the Institute for Children and Poverty, participated in a
panel titled "The Role of Faith-Based Organizations in Community
Development" at the Wagner School of Public Service at NYU. Other
panelists included Marc Greenberg, Executive Director of the Interfaith
Assembly on Homelessness and Housing; the Reverend Mark Hallinan, an
Assistant for Social Ministries at the New York Province of the Society
of Jesus; and Anne R. Teicher, Executive Director of the Neighborhood
Coalition for Shelter. The panel spoke about the role of faith-based
and community-based organizations in housing and homelessness given
recent changes in federal fund allocations through the establishment of
the White House Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives within
the Executive Office of the President.
