ICP and Columbia University Panel Discussion
The Institute for Children and Poverty, the Earth Institute at Columbia
University, and the School of International and Public Affairs are
co-sponsoring a panel discussion, The
Truth and Consequences of Family Homelessness: A Panel Discussion About
the Conditions Affecting Homeless Families and the Consequences of
Failing to Address the Complexities of the Poverty They Face at
Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs
(located at 420 W. 118th Street, New York, NY, Room 1501), on Monday,
November 13, 2006, from 12:30 to 2:30 PM (reception begins at
noon). This event will consist of panel presentations
and discussion, followed by a Q&A session. Panelists will
include Sarah Fujiwara, Chief Programs Officer of Horizons for Homeless
Children, an education-focused, Boston-based organization that works
with homeless children and their parents; Allison Randall, Public
Policy Director of the National Network to End Domestic Violence, a
national network of state domestic violence coalitions; and Laurel
Weir, Policy Director of the National Law Center on Homelessness and
Poverty, the legal arm of the nationwide movement to end
