Volunteer

Are you interested in organizing a volunteer activity at one of our American Family Inns, or in volunteering your time at HFH Summer Camps? HFH seeks energetic people with experience in the arts, sciences, mathematics or literacy to organize volunteer events. For more information, please contact Margaret Menghini.

Kimber Bogard, PhD
Dr. Kimber Bogard volunteers at the Prospect Family Inn's Jump-Start Child Development Center. With a PhD in developmental psychology, she uses her skills and knowledge to help our children form positive relationships with their parents, fellow classmates, and teachers. Spending more than a year and a half with the center, Kimber has said she sees nothing but potential for both the children and the program.

Patricia Brintle

Patricia Brintle, a Queens-based artist and volunteer at the Saratoga Family Inn, has been using her talents to open the eyes of our Saratoga children to their own artistic abilities. Ms. Brintle mentors the children, ages 5-18, in mural painting, pottery classes, and other activities. The skills they gain through working with her will likely benefit them in all areas of life.

Robin Bossert
Robin Bossert loves nature, and recognizes how important it is that children experience all that the outdoors has to offer. His organization, Navigators USA, has begun working with Homes for the Homeless to provide our children with regular outdoor recreational experiences. Click the link below to view two videos highlighting Mr. Bossert's recent ski trip with some of our high school students, where they learned the fundamentals of a sport they might never have experienced otherwise.
